A little about me...

Derek has 7+ years of experience in the real estate industry with a primary focus on Commercial Brokerage and Development. During this time, Derek has been involved in over $90 million of investment transactions with a special emphasis in self-storage facilities and multi-family projects. 

Derek initially pursued a career in aviation while obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Science and his fixed-wing pilots license. Throughout college, he began working in real estate and eventually made a full-time leap into the industry after graduation. 

Derek takes pride in assisting 1031 exchange Buyers and Sellers. Recent transactions include Storage facilities, Multifamily, Net-Lease, Entitled Land and Retail Buildings. Derek's diverse background and experience allows him to guide his clients through complex deals with confidence and strategy. 

Born and raised in North Western Montana, Derek brings a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. He developed a lifelong passion for fishing, hunting and snowboarding—activities he still enjoys when visiting home for the holidays. Derek has now lived in Wilmington for over 4-years and leads the Commercial Division at Salt + Stone Property Group.
